Ken Campbell

Ken Campbell join the WaterSMART team in June 2011 as their Senior Hydrogeologist. Ken's role at WaterSMART is to provide extensive experience and knowledge on groundwater resource challenges and opportunities from all sectors.

As a Senior Hydrogeologist and Project Manager, Ken has completed a wide variety of hydrogeologic projects, including groundwater supply programs, regional hydrogeological mapping, mine dewatering, environmental impact studies, groundwater contamination investigations and remediation.

Ken provides vast experience and knowledge in numerous sectors involving groundwater; including oilsands, heavy oil, shale gas, regional hydrogeological mapping, industrial/municipal groundwater supply, mining, contamination/remediation, solid waste/landfill management and computer modeling.

Ken's carries with him experience that encompasses all aspects of consulting; including project management, senior technical review, regional and site investigations, design and implementation, liaison with clients and regulatory agencies, participation in public meetings, hearings, and reporting. Ken's recent responsibilities include the adaptation of oilfield tools and methods to respond to hydrogeological problems.

Ken's Canadian projects have been located in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Yukon. His international experience includes projects in India, Vietnam, Sultanate of Oman, El Salvador, Chile, Peru, and more than 150 projects in the United States.

Ken serves as a member of numerous Professional Geologist groups across Canada and the United States; including the Certified Ground Water Professional (AGWES), the International Association of Hydrogeologists and the National Water Well Association.
