Alberta WaterSMART is committed to facilitating the development and implementation of innovative water management technologies and practices for the social and economic benefit of all Albertans, and then exporting these solutions to the World.

Our primary goal is to create and manage the networks, partnerships and programs required to bring together industry, researchers, watershed and other organizations and governments that will:

By 2020, position Alberta as a world leader in the research, development, application, implementation and commercialization of solutions for water management, quality, conservation and preservation for domestic, industrial, resource and environmental uses.

We wish to catalyze the awareness, education, research, development and deployment of leading-edge water management technologies and practices for the social and economic benefit of all Albertans, and then export these solutions globally.

We will accomplish these goals through our unique partnerships, and by focusing on the implementation of solutions and programs that will generate new water management applications and projects, technologies, as well as education and awareness building.
