About Our Team:
Mike Nemeth M.Sc. Hydrology
Michael has collected his vast experience on water resources through his work as the Water Resource Modeler with the Water and Environmental Hub; the Project Data Coordinator with the Alberta Water Research Institute; and as the Reclamation Research Assistant with Syncrude Canada Ltd.
Michael is the recipient of numerous awards and honors; including the University of Lethbridge Award for Academics, ConocoPhillips Canada Centennial Scholarship, Alcoa-Kawneer Environmental Science Award, Jason Lang Memorial Scholarship (three times), Millennium in Excellence Award and the Imperial Oil Higher Education Award.
Michael wrote his thesis entitled "Climate change impacts on streamflow in the upper North Saskatchewan River Basin", the project involved hydrological modeling and verification of a physically based model, GIS and spatial analysis of hydrometeorological data, and Global Climate Model regional downscaling to study the impacts of climate changes on water resources.
